Abraham Joy Gain Memorial Foundation
The Abraham Joy Gain Memorial Foundation is established in loving memory of Abraham Joy Gain (08 October 2002 – 28 August 2023), a dedicated core youth volunteer of HEAD Sangstha.
Abraham was a bright, compassionate young man who was pursuing his studies in Computer Science and Engineering Technology at IUBAT University. He was known for his sincerity, leadership, and deep commitment to community service, especially through his involvement with HEAD Sangstha’s youth programs.
On 26 August 2023, Abraham traveled to Sylhet with three close friends. During their visit, on 28 August, while swimming in the Dholai River, a sudden strong wave struck the group. While his friends managed to reach the riverbank, Abraham was swept away. After around 15 minutes, a local boatman discovered his body in the river. His death was sudden, tragic, and heartbreaking.
Abraham’s passing has left a profound emptiness in our lives. We carry his memory with us, along with the pain of his loss. But in that memory, we also find purpose.
The Abraham Joy Gain Memorial Foundation is our way of honoring his life, values, and dreams. The foundation is dedicated to supporting youth-led initiatives, promoting education, and empowering communities — the very causes Abraham cared about deeply.
Through this foundation, Abraham’s light will continue to shine.
