What We Do

What We Do
HEAD works across multiple development sectors to empower communities, protect human rights, and promote environmental and social justice.

  1. Peace, Justice and Promotion of Human Rights
HEAD is a rights-based organization that raises its voice against rights violations and empowers vulnerable communities to claim their entitlements from the state. We promote peace and justice, support socially excluded groups, campaign against human trafficking, and collaborate with religious leaders to build harmony across communities.

Slogan: “Justice for all, peace for everyone.”

  1. T-VET and Youth Development
HEAD engages youth by providing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), linking them with employment opportunities, and building leadership to face future challenges.

Slogan: “Empowering youth, shaping the future.”

  1. Advocacy, Linkage, and Networking
We maintain strong connections with government bodies, NGOs, local governments, and private sectors. Our advocacy efforts at the community level engage social elites, religious leaders, and elected bodies to promote intercultural relationships and service access.

Slogan: “Connecting voices, creating impact.”

  1. Women Empowerment and Social Development
HEAD organizes awareness events, workshops, and mobilizes women to participate in decision-making at local and institutional levels. Our members are active in community committees and arbitration processes.

Slogan: “Empowered women, empowered communities.”

  1. Violence Against Women
We work to prevent child marriage, domestic violence, and human trafficking through awareness, legal support, and rehabilitation services, in coordination with local authorities.

Slogan: “Stop violence, start healing.”

  1. Health and Nutrition Status Development
HEAD organizes health and nutrition awareness sessions, promotes homestead gardening, and educates members on low-cost nutrition practices for healthier lifestyles.

Slogan: “Healthy lives through local solutions.”

  1. Promote Organic Farming
HEAD supports 600+ vulnerable women farmers by introducing modern and sustainable agricultural techniques and promoting organic farming at the grassroots level.

Slogan: “Grow green, live clean.”

  1. Climate Action
We take action to combat climate change by fighting environmental degradation, planting trees, and supporting vulnerable communities to adapt through capacity-building.

Slogan: “Act local, protect the planet.”

  1. Land Rights for the Landless
HEAD advocates for the landless, supports legal battles against land grabbing, and works with authorities to ensure fair distribution of Khas (government) land.

Slogan: “Land for the landless, justice for the voiceless.”

  1. Decent Work and Labor Rights
We advocate for fair wages, safe workplaces, and gender equality in employment, raising awareness about labor rights and decent work standards.

Slogan: “Dignity at work is a right, not a privilege.”

  1. Income Generating Activities (IGA)
Using savings and donor funds, HEAD supports disadvantaged youth and women to start agriculture, livestock, and small businesses that improve livelihoods and reduce poverty.

Slogan: “Small support, big change.”

  1. Entrepreneurs Development
We build local entrepreneurship by training producer groups, especially women, in crafts like jute, bamboo, food processing, garments, rugs, and more.

Slogan: “Crafting opportunity, building independence.”

  1. Market Development
HEAD promotes local products (like compost and seeds) through its showroom and collaborates with private sector actors to market and export handmade items like rugs.

Slogan: “From local hands to global markets.”

  1. Establishing Value Chains
Our trained leaders develop village-based entrepreneurs by connecting them to markets via our showroom, retailers, and wholesalers, ensuring sustainable income.

Slogan: “Linking producers to prosperity.”
